Emma is taking swimming lessons! Its at the private pool just a few blocks from us, which is terribly convenient. She has been watching her daycare friends swim off and on this summer (they take most of the kids 3 and up every day all summer long) and we decided she was ready to give it a go! They are daily for two weeks, and she is doing great. She is generally really cautious about this kind of thing, and I am really proud of how brave she is being as she tries all sorts of new things!
There are only 3 kids total in her little class (it runs about 25 minutes), which is great for having lots of one on one time. This week I have been taking her by myself (or meeting her there on daycare days) while Grandma Elena plays with the babies and gives them lunch. Next week, though, I'll be on my own again, so I am thinking I will take the babies in the stroller and bribe them with lunch to keep them in there. There is NO WAY I can let them out and not have two babies in the pool. Wish me luck!
