Today is my first day flying solo....Lonnie is back to work! Eeeks! So far things are going well, though I am really hoping a nap is in our future... Emma is now two and a half weeks old, and seems to be adjusting and settling into our world. She has gotten the feeding thing down pretty well, and though she does enjoy the marathon sleep-and-eat (much to mama's chagrin), she is off the formula completely and appears to be getting enough. Tomorrow is her first real check-up, and we are hoping her wieght gain is enough that we can continue as we are with no more supplements. I am still thinking I might schedule an appointment with a lactation consultant to get some tips on weaning off the nipple shields and to make sure the latch is okay....still having a bit of pain, though it is manangable. Over the past few days Emma has had a few more outings! She had a trip to the baby mega-store and two dinners over at friends and families houses....and she did great. We are realizing that she is indeed a pretty easy baby (knock on wood) and are very very grateful for that. Here are a few pics from yesterday....
