Ho hum
Still hanging around, bored and uncomfortable! We are still amidst The Week Of The Due Date, having passed the second one (May 12) but not yet to the original (May 16, tomorrow!). I went in for an acupuncture "induction" appointment on Friday, which was interesting and very "buzzy" (the electro-stimulation of the needles was a first for me) but so far no noticeable progress, and they told me to come back again today if I had not had the baby yet. So I will probably give them a call this morning....can't hurt!
Yesterday we had a nice lunch out with family, which was a great distraction, but the rest of the evening I felt pretty crappy, probably due to dehydration and too much sun. Lots of crampiness and Braxton-Hicks contractions, brought on, it seems, by tons of gymnastic baby moves, which is reassuring, of course, but totally uncomfortable at this point. That added to a very restless nights sleep, but I do feel a bit better today, so thats good.
It seems a lot of people and their doctors start worrying a lot about the size of the baby at this point, which seems somewhat odd to me (yet also understandable, when you are the one having to push that sucker out, however), but so far my doctor hasn't said a word, and I appreciate that! The babe definitely feels huge to me now, but I am not too concerned, at least not yet. I tend to be of the camp that believes people generally don't grow babies they can't birth naturally (barring conditions like gestational diabetes, or something like that), but I suppose we'll see how I feel about that when the critical time comes...ha!

I'm very impressed with little Emma for staying put for as long as possible! Smart girl!! But we are all hoping you can welcome her into YOUR world soon. Her room is darling, her clothes are darling, her family and friends are all waiting with bated breath, her mother has been oh, so patient, and we send you all the good vibes we can muster up. Best wishes for a healthy and uncomplicated delivery.
