Yesterday was a crazy day! Here's how it played out:
- Everyone wakes up (happily, really late for them -- 6:45! Woo hoo! Thats a hour or more of sleeping in!)
- Make breakfast for everyone, eat, do dishes
- Change diapers, get everyone dressed, Emma ready for school
- Quick shower and getting ready for me
- Everyone in car, take Emma to school (includes unloading and then loading back up E& D)
- Go grocery shopping with E & D (luckily our closest store has a double seated cart, otherwise this can be hard)
- Go home, unload groceries, feed Elsie and Delia
- Put E & D down for nap
- Go get Emma from preschool (Lonnie was working from home, I didn't just leave the babies there alone, ha ha!)
- Give Emma lunch in car while we drive to Dr.s office
- Flu mist for Emma (regular seasonal flu, H1N1 still not available around here)
- Home, get Emma to bed for nap
- Babies wake up, nurse and play with babies, do dishes
- Give snacks to babies, pack one for Emma, get everyone ready to go again. Vote. Do dinner prep
- Go to Emma's school conference (with Lonnie & all 3 girls)
- Drop off ballots at post office
- Home again. Finish dinner. Babies whiny and exhausted from only one nap
- Babies up to bed! Lonnie does dishes while Emma colors, then does Emma's bedtime
- Clean up living room, start load of laundry
- Sit down and chill. WHEW!
- Fold 5 loads of laundry while watching election news
- Get ready for bed, sleep
Kind of exhausting! But not TOO out of the ordinary. Up today: more tidying and cleaning, phone calls, taking the kids to the library to return/check out more books, and figuring out a meal plan for the week (we'll see if that actually gets done, ha ha).
